I've never ridden a Zebra before, how can I learn?

When we drop off your Zebra, our delivery team will give you a rundown on driving and operating the vehicle.

Can two people ride on a Zebra?

Only one person per Zebra!

Where am I allowed to ride?

An operator of a Zebra is granted all the rights and privileges and is subject to all of the duties of a person riding a bicycle. Except as otherwise provided or as otherwise regulated by a local authority, a class 2 electric bicycle is subject to the same provisions as a bicycle and may be used on bicycle and multi-use paths.

Where am I allowed to park?

You can usually park right in front of wherever you are going, or really close by. Please check with your local municipality if you're unsure about the parking laws in your area. Please note, you cannot park on the sidewalk.

Can I ride my Zebra in the rain or bad weather?

Yes, all weather is permitted. Just be careful!

What clothes should I wear when riding?

In addition to a helmet, you should wear long sleeves, pants, and durable, closed-toe shoes. We also recommend wearing gloves.

Can I go up and down steep hills?

Your Zebra is equipped to climb any hill in the city.

Is there a weight limit for safely riding a Zebra?

220 lbs is the carrying capacity.

How long does it take to charge my Zebra?

About 4.5 hours for a standard range battery (50 miles) and 5.5 hours for extended range battery (75 miles).

What if I don't have a garage?

We recommend:

• Keep the battery away from extreme cold (<32°F) or hot temperature (>104 °F)
• Cover your Zebra or park away from direct sunlight
• Use the Zebra-provided brake lock with alarm to protect against theft

Do I own my helmet or do I need to return it?

Please make sure to return your helmet when you cancel your subscription.

Can I purchase my Zebra?

We're currently working on a separate sales program for premium Zebra.

Joining Zebra

What do you mean by Zebra subscription?

Think of it as a lease, but with no long-term commitments. Pay on a monthly basis based on the subscription plan you choose.

Is delivery free?

Delivery is free for first time riders and $29 for returning riders. Picking up and dropping off your Zebra at one of our locations is always free.

What is required in order to sign up?

In order to successfully secure your Zebra, your first month's subscription payment is due upfront. You'll also need to upload your US driver's license. Your second payment is not charged until one full month after your Zebra arrives. At this time, we are unable to accept foreign driver's licenses, but are working on a solution for you!

Do I need a special type of license?

Zebra is classified as a class 2 electric bicycle and a driver’s license may not be required depending on local regulation. Zebra checks for a valid US driver's license before approving a subscription. A motorcycle license is not required for a class 2 electric bicycle.

What is included in my monthly subscription?

What is Zebra's Standard Collision Damage Waiver?

The Standard Collision Damage Waiver is an optional product that will waive your financial responsibility for any damage to the Zebra in excess of $500, provided that you have complied with the Zebra Terms of Service.

Is Zebra’s Standard Collision Damage Waiver insurance?

The Standard Collision Damage Waiver is not insurance, but instead is a partial waiver of the amount you will owe in the event your Zebra is damaged. Before purchasing the Standard Collision Damage Waiver, you may wish to determine whether your personal insurance, credit card, or other insurance coverage already provides similar protection.

What am I liable for if something gets damaged?

Riders are fully liable for all damages to the Zebra unless they purchased the optional Standard Collision Damage Waiver for an additional $19/month. If the Standard Collision Damage Waiver has been purchased, users are only responsible up to the $500 deductible.

Can I ride outside of my city?

Yes you can, but we ask that you give us a heads up if you plan to move permanently from your city.

How often does my Zebra need maintenance?

Your Zebra is meant to operate in all kinds of weather conditions and is basically maintenance-free. Normal wear items such as tires and brakes will need replacement at the end of their service life, which will vary depending on the type of riding you do and the severity of use. If any service needs develop, you will be notified as to the need and extent.

What does the maintenance package include?

We provide free routine maintenance and are always on call if you experience any type of issue!

You can cancel your subscription by clicking here, or the link at the bottom of the homepage. Your Zebra can be dropped off at our local warehouse for free or we can pick up your Zebra from you for $29.
